hello family i hope all is well! so that caps button on this
keyboard isnt working... so the whole thing is going to be in lower
case. super annoying sorry. anyways the indian summer looks to be gone
and now its really starting to cool off. we've been wearing short
sleeves most of the days but i think this week we're gonna have to go
long.
this week instead of district meeting we had a zone
training. so i got to see lots of friends including e.hilburn from the
mtc again, haha that kid is such a stud. it was fun to get to see all
the other missionaries in the zone again. i love being around other
missionaries. theyre all just such awesome people. i learn so much from
being around them. i think thats someting ive really learned the most
from being out here. is not to judge anyone for anything. im grateful
for the sacrife missionaries around the world have made.
this week we were really successful and set 3 new
baptismal dates with some of our amis. we were really pumped heading
into sunday but not one of the 3 engage's came to church so that was
super frustrating. we are currently teaching about 15 people and are
having tons of success finding new amis its crazy but no one is really
progressing. i found out some really saddening news about one of my
favorite people in the world in the branch of bergerac. id say the
hardest part of being a missionary is not being able to do enough. you
just want to help everybody and help everybody have all these awesome
blessings, but we can only do so much. for some awesome news though, one
of the less active families we're teaching are doing great! we are
going with them this week to pick up marriage papers and we are going to
get them married and hopefully soon to the temple. it was classic we
lined up this date for george so he could take missy out for a night on
the town. we found a babysitter in the ward and did all the dirty work.
the next day when we saw them they were smiling from cheek to cheek it
was great!!
friday we will be getting transfer calls. e.garland is
dying next monday so ill be receiving someone new. i hope all is well
back home, how is the weather? i love you all and im excited to go out
to dinner with you all and get some good old mexican. is there anything i
can do for you all? thanks for you love and support. im going to start
sending the names of some people each week to keep in your prayers if
you could... thanks. we've been studying alot as a mission the power of
group prayers and all that good stuff from the teachings of the savior.
so everynight we have a list of everyone with a baptismal date in the
mission and we pray for them all individually by name. its sweet. prayer
is so powerful, especially when its said by the righteous (1 pierre
3:12). i love you all!
