[Week 19] Starting Over

Well, just when you think you are starting to get a hang of things, you get thrown a curve ball. Friday we had transfer calls and I was informed that Bergerac was to be white washed and I was going to Valence. Its on the other side of the mission about an hour and a half south of Lyon. It's a much bigger ville than Bergerac, I havent seen much of it yet but we're planning on having LOTS of miracles here :) It feels like day 1 again though. I dont know anything here, its all super new. My New companion is named Elder Garland. He's an Englishmen from somewhere around Burmingham. Hes on his second to last transfer so odds are that I will kill him too. Speaking of which I dropped Elder Wilcox off in Lyon this morning and said good bye to my father. Im going 2 for 2 it looks like.

Ive never been good at saying goodbye, and leaving Bergerac was no exception. We have grown super close to all the members in our time there. Those members really are some of the best on this earth! I love them. We left last night to Bordeaux then stayed the night there. We had to get up this morning at 430 to get started back up. The journey went well except for it was such a hastle carrying all the luggage around.

Last week I went on an exchange to Brive and spend the day with Elder LeDuc, who is a first transfer Canadian. He's an awesome guy and we had a blast. We decided we wanted to try something new. So we decided to go go around and ask to sing people a hymn. We had a ton of success with this and got lots of people to stop and listen to our message. We got two rendez vous fixed with new potential amis so it was a blast. On the way out to Brive we spotted this lady sitting across the aisle from us. We started talking to her and worked our way over next to her. She wasnt interested at all at first and said she had tried all our stuff, but we just started talking about Christ and the Gospel. When we arrived in Brive she asked what time church met and that she would be there. Its amazing how the spirit can soften the hearts and testify to everyone!

Well I love you all! my new mailing address is:

2 Avenue de Chabeuil
26000 Valence
France

Anything youve sent within the past week I probably wont get for a month or so unfortunately. Thanks for all the support. Sounds like everything is going great back home. Dad I heard you did awesome on the talk! Congrats I imagine it was super powerful. Chan thanks for the email. And mama thanks for all you do!! I love you! Until next week!

Forever Love
