This week was a flash. Its always absolutely crazy the first week of the transfer as a zone leader in Lyon. This transfer we had 24 new missionaries come in, and their 24 trainers. For whatever reason the assistants didnt plan to week so monday we found out we basically had to take these 48 missionaries for 3 days.. haha it was crazy but so fun. We left everyday before 8 and were getting back after 11 at night, just running around all day making effective use of all the missionaries and making faith building expériences for the new missionaries. Elder Heck and I were dead by the end of the week but everything fell perfectly into place and Heavenly Father made it look like we had planned a week in advance.
I was very impressed with the new incoming missionaries. President Roney and Elder Anderson are good ol buddies and he always says how Elder Anderson hand picks the missionaries he sends to our mission. And judging by these last 3 transfers id say its true. These Young elders are full of faith, and oddly enough, theyre all extremely handsome. Flirt to convert I suppose..
We had a miracle this week. His name is Graham. He is elect and we taught him saturday and he came to Church on sunday. He was a pastor in the assembly of god Church but was attacked with racism and was heart broken. He went searching for the truth, telling himself that God is not someone to do something like that. We taught him the message of the restoration, and he said with tears in his eyes, 'I'm home. I've found what I have been missing'. The next day he participated in Church. He didnt have a tie so I gave him the tie off my neck and gave it to him. He freaked out and gave me a bisous haha, caught me off gaurd! It was a testimony to me that God prepares his elect. He fixed a baptismal date for the 25th and we'll be seeing him again tonight. I pray that all goes well.
Faith is essential. Lack of application is the only detterent. With faith all things are possible. Im still Learning this but its starting to stick.
I love you all
Elder Gruber
