#48 Go to Geneva
Hello family! The sun is starting to come back from a long winter of hiding. I hope you all had a great Easter. Did the Easter bunny come? It was kind of sad that he didn't come last year. Rats.
This week seemed to have flown by. We started out by doing 2 days of good ol fashion physical labour. We got to half out some members in our branch so it was awesome. We went one of the days to the house of our branch president and cut and moved around logs all day. Once we cut down the shrubbery or tree we would have to go carry it like 100 yards through the forest and put it in an assigned spot. I asked him why we didnt just burn it.. I received a nice little lecture about global warming and America's contribution. France..
On saturday I had to honor of assisting the wedding of Toti and Missy!! If you remember they were the polynesian family that Elder Garland and I were teaching in Valence. Well they went ahead and they are now finally married! The ceremony was tight and I felt super happy. There was alot missing though I must add. First off, they didnt say 'I do' but I let it slide since it was all in french. but at the end there was not ' you may now kiss the bride ' non sense! haha but the best part is, that in a year from now they will be having their real marriage in the Temple. Im so happy for this family :)
So I'll cut all the funny business and get right down to it. We got transfer calls on friday and I was greeted with a large surprise. I was expecting to stay in Gap next transfer, but I have been called elsewhere. In fact I'll be leaving France entirely. I've been called to be a zone leader in Geneva Switzerland! I'm super pumped to be going to suisse. Geneva was the one city that I really wanted to serve in in our mission (number 48 on my bucket list). But suisse is pretty much off limits to American missionaries because we have a hard time getting residence permits. With President Roney, though, nothing is impossible. I'll be serving with Elder Tromeur, he is apparently half french half italien but I dont really know his story. All I know is he is a fantastic missionary and Im stoked to get to serve with another francophone missionary. It will be weird serving in a big town like that with tons of members. In Geneva apparently there are 2 french wards, a spanish ward, and an english ward. Im excited and it will be a good experience.
My 3 months in Gap seem like a blur. Its weird to me that Im already leaving. Anywho, I love you all. Have a great week and dont forget to go to the temple!
Forever Love,
Elder Gruber
ps my new mailing address is:

Its listed like that but I dont really know how its supposed to be written. Worst case scenario just send all the letters to the mission office for the next week until I know more details. Love!
