Bonjour family and friends! This thanksgiving week I give my thanks to you all for all that you have done for me! I am truly blessed. I don't feel that I deserve you all but Im glad that I have you!
Well as you can see from the file attached I figured out your off shores business venture dad. Gruber Bière. Very well played. Haha so I found an ash tray in a recent converts house for the company 'Gruber Beer'.
We're starting to get the ball rolling here (unlike byu or utah football). Last transfer they were teaching about 4 lessons a week. We managed to have 15 last week, lots of which were really cool people who I have a lot of aspirations for! We have 2 people were teaching right now who are really progressing towards baptism. There is a really awesome Irish family in the branch here that lives down in a town called beynac. We went down and visited them. This little valley is in the top 5 prettiest places of all time! There are 5 chateau's all in sight with beautiful pastures and the dordogne running through it. It was really something out of a fairy tale! They took us to this Asia buffet(Where I ate my first frog legs). It was the first chinese food i've had since Janbo!! It goes without saying, but it doesnt match up to the great Janbo. Also I found out fortune cookies are an American thing... they dont do them in France!
You learn a lot of things on the missions. One thing I'm starting to learn a lot of is doing insolation on houses. This week we helped two different member families insolate their house. To answer everyone's questions:
1 We walk everyone. In the small villes like Bergerac and Brive we walk or ride bikes sometimes. In Valence we took the bus all the time.
2 No mom you cannot throw away my Taylor Swift poster.
3. The mission is divided into zones. With in zone are districts. In my district its Bergerac, Perigueux, and Brive. We're in the Bordeaux Zone.
4. My jacket is fine. Im going to hold off on buying anything til the big soldes here in france? its the only time its worth buying anything.
I love you all and you're all in my prayers. I hope everyone has a great turkey day and enjoys some good football. Have a fun time!!
Forever Love
Elder Gruber
Ps this week I realized my letters home are terrible but I can never remember what to say. Im going to repent and hopefully do better next week but seeing as we didnt have time for a p day this week this will ahve to suffice. Bonne Semaine!!
