[Week 26] I love Jesus!

Hello fam hows it going? I realized today that ive lost my red neck utah accent. Its a sad day. Oh well that will come back in a year and a half haha. Sounds like the weather is really starting to cool off over there? We were in the midsts of a nice indien summer and all the sudden we just dropped off this week. It was absolutely terrible! I caught a pretty nasty cold and carried it throughout the week, but now I've for the most part kicked it. Also I got eaten alive by spiders and Im covered head to tie in bites! The cold here is awful because its so darn humid, and en plus our heating was broken all week! We had to resort to cracking our oven up to full blast on opening it up, buddling in blankets, and huddling around it while we did our morning studies. The upside though is that all the spiders got frozen out and I havent had a bit in a couple days. Luckily today we had time to fix it and it should be working now. Outside the appartment is about the same temperature haha maybe warmer. I never thought I'd see the day where I was buddled up in a scarf and gloves, but like harvey dent say, 'you either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become what you hate most'. I've found out that this is true!
Well coming into Brive I was thinkning that I knew pretty well what I'd be getting into since I had done exchanges here and what now. Oh was I wrong! Haha I get in and ask E. LeDuc where the area book is. He eventually finds it buried away in the corner of the room and I open it to find nothing. There is literally almost no sign of missionary work on paper from the past 6 months. We supposedly had a couple ami's, so we went and tried to see them, and after one visit with them it was clear they were not ami's at all. So we dropped all the 'investigators' here and had to start fresh. We found 3 news amis since then though and the work is waiting to pick up. The brach here is awesome. Sunday we had 91 people there! The sacrament room was completely filled and we had to open it up into the hall. It was full of families. The branch en fait is in the process of becoming a ward. It meets all the standards and are just waiting for the church to approve it.
Okay so a quick miracle- last night we went and passed chez one of our amis. He wasnt there but one of his friends answered. We started talking to him and we turned a difficulty into an oppurtunity and ended up getting let in and teaching him the Restoration. It was a good lesson and we're going to see him again mercredi. Another interesting story is about the gift of tongues. I can honestly say I wouldnt be able to speak a lick of french with Gods help. Anyways we had this rendez-vous which was sketchy from the start but to safe time it sufficeth we were teaching 2 african college kids and they start smoking pot and getting high so we got outta dodge haha but during the rendez-vous I couldnt speak like any french, neither could elder LeDuc. Our tongues were literally tied. Then the next day I taught the lesson in young mens and I was really blessed with Gods help and had no language problems. Its cool getting to see the difference like that.
All goes well here in Brive-La-Gaillard! next week we have zone conference with Elder Anderson! Im super pumped. I love this church and I know t hat it is true. President Roney engaged us to study Jesus Christ super specifically and write down all his teachings and study them individually. Its crazy how much I have learned. I have grown so much closer to our Savior in doing this. Thanks for all the prayers and support guys I love you so much! Go tell someone how much you love them! And if you really love them go tell them how much you love Jesus Christ!
From France with Love!
Forever Love
