2 Week Catch Up

Hello everyone! I am sorry that I wasn't able to write you last week but a lot of really cool things have happened so I'll write them all down here.

So last week we went around the mission setting up appartements. We have a mission van and would fill it up with ikea goods, drive to the apt, set it up then drive to the next ville. Sleep was not in abondance, but I got my wings sleeping in my first truck stop. We were true asphalt cowboys as Jason Aldean would say. We got to set up a ville called Rodez which is really pretty. President Roney always talks about it because he served there and had a lot of very incredible experiences. It had been closed for a really long time so it was cool to get to go out there and set it back up for missionary work.

This week was great as well. A couple nights ago President Roney invited a bunch of us missionaries over to his house for some sneaky missionary work. His business back home does an annual convention at Salt Lake City for some of the leaders of his company. There were 17 000 present in the Energy Solution Area. Since he was gone they asked him to make a special video streaming hello. So he did just that and seated 10 missionaries behind him and introduced us and explained what we did, and shared the Gospel. He says every time they do this convention he has all the guys go see temple square, and there always ends up being alot of these workers who get baptised. I hope I can continue to share the Gospel at every opportunity like he does.

Last night we had the baptism of Alexis Galland. It was a magic evening. He had asked me to baptise him which was an honor. Another man was baptised as well last night that the sisters were teaching. The service was great and the spirit was so strong you could cut it with a knife. Hocine and Victor both made it out to the baptism. I got to get a great photo with 3 of the guys I love most! Might be my favorite photo of all time. I'll attach it.

I also, unfortunately received the news from President Roney yesterday that I will be leaving Lyon, and going to be zone leader in Aix-en-Provence (ex on pro vonce). Frankly I was surprised when I found out I was leaving, because I still have a lot of unfinished work I need to do here. Leaving Lyon is honestly harder than it was leaving home. I have a great family of friends here and it makes me really sad to have to say good bye to them all. I can say that I left the place better than I found it. Last night someone told me 'you changed Lyon for the best', thats when I realized that it was Lyon who changed me for the best. I've learned so many incredible things while I've been here. The worst/most difficult experiences of my life as well as the most miraculous and beautiful experiences. Serving in Lyon has changed my life. I've learned many things, most importantly how to trust Jesus Christ, and that all limitations are self-imposed. I feel very strongly that I still have people to find and baptise in Lyon. Theres something magic about this place. I think I'll be back, there is still more I most do here.

Thanks family for all that you do. I love you all very much and I wait impatiently for the day that I will see you all again.
