[Week 41] Winter in the High Alps

Winter in the High Alps
Well hello everyone. I will start right away and finish a bit of what I wanted to say last week. Zone conference was incredible. President Roney is one of the most inspired men I've ever met. I really believe that a large reason why I am serving in this mission is to learn what he has to teach me. I have come lots closer to Christ and a real better understanding of his Doctrine through the teachings of President Roney. I hope I get to spend more time with him! But anyways for interviews it was great getting to spend some time with him. Truly a great experience. During the conference he showed us this film that he made while he was working at Nuskin. Its about this guy named Billy Peck.. I am sure you can find it somewhere on the internet but I want you all to go and watch. The film is great and having regarde it with a missionary mindset it has changed my mission in a lot of ways. Its really inspired and laced with religious paraboles.
So you ask about the weather. It has not stopped snowing for days!! We are covered haha and it makes missionary work really hard. Also its pretty annyoing. Today Ive probably been on my back in the snow as much as ive been walking upright. My shoes are like soap bars out here! Also we got to go back out the Aix this week to do an echange with the zone leaders. It was a blast because saturaday morning we had this back soccer game set up with the young adults of the ward of some less actives. Im not the best soccer man out there but I have to say I left it all on the field hahaha. I brought some of the field with me too. The field we played on was like I imagine the old old cowboy stadium that you would always talk about dad. How the turf would just destroy the running backs knees. I got a nice old scrap on my left leg. Good ol fasion battle scar!
Other than that we finally got to see our ami Destiny this week. We saw him twice a fixed a baptismal date for the 16 mars. He is a great man and really loves Jesus Christ. We'll see what happens with him or if ill even be here to see that. Transfer calls are firday and I have the impression que Im going to leave. Well see though.
I love you all very much. Thanks for all your emails and your updates. You guys are great and I miss you all very much.
Forever Love,
Elder Gruber
