This week was pretty crazy.
New years eve. We have to be at 8 to avoid any unneeded hastles. So we cooked up a recees cake thing and watched a chuch film and went to bed. I set the alarm for mid night so that we could wake up and take a pic but there were so technical/operating errors and it didnt work but we managed to get up at one and pic a pic/eat the cake. The next day we spend a bunch of time playing the missionary game with members. then Wednesday I went on exchange to Périgueux and spent some quality time over there with Elder Cowly aka Elder Vachement. He is a genius and got a 36 on his ACT. I basically felt like a 5 year old next to him intelligence wise. The next day we played the missionary game again with some members familes and then Friday I returned back to ol' Bergerac. The Elders over there are really struggling right now to find people to teach so I took Elder Visser with me and we all blitzed the village. It was a blast. Got to see Jean Charles with was super fun as well. The next day we hopped on a train to Sarlat and spent some time out there with this beloved irish part member family. Then that evening we taught a new ami. Sunday was a great Sabbath day. I've really come to appreciate the importance of the Sacrament and how sacred it is. Its definitely my favorite part of the week.
Well you're probably all wondering about our miracle ami Claudine. She was scheduled to be baptized the 5 janvier but obviously that did not happen. Everything was going great then one day the member who she lives with stopped answering our calls. so 2 weeks go by and then through the grape vine we find out that she moved to Bordeaux. The member didnt take any effort to tell us though. Its been a bummer because since I've been here we've had 2 solid baptismal dates that just disappeared at of nowhere. But its not fault of our own so ce n'est pas grave! We're looking to fix some new dates this week! Well Transfer calls come friday. So if anyone plans on sending me a letter, hold off until you hear from me next monday because I could be at the other side of the country for all I know. Under president Roney we seem to move every 2 transfers so I think Ill probably be leaving but you never know. So i'll keep you all posted with that!
Thanks for all the pictures you guys have sent me! you're all such good looking people.. wow! I hope you all enjoyed the package. Also I am so pumped about chan! What a man. I cant wait to get home and see him in a tournament. Im so proud of you bud. I love you guys so much. Thanks so much for all you do for me and for all your prays. I love this church so much and Im eternally grateful to be a member of it. I invite you all to really consecrate the sacrament and make it a holy time. I feel like way too many text or play angry birds during this moment. Its a tragedy! dont be one of those people!
