Hello to all who may be reading this. If you're reading this it means I love you. So hey, I really love you and I hope you are having a great day.
Well Papa Noel is coming to town tonight!! I hope to catch a glimpse of the old rascal. Though I must admit it doesnt feel much like Christmas. The only thing Christmassy is that we sing Christmas cantiques all the time which is awesome. Brive is a pretty cheap town as far as the Christmas lights go, they didnt do a whole lot.So you're all wondering the plans for tonight and tomorrow. Wellll.. tonight we are going over the our DMB's house to spend the evening with his family. He have the permission to stay out till 11 30 so that will be cool! But unfortunatley President Roney said we're not allowed to go to any midnight mass's... which would have been cool but oh well! Tomorrow we're going to wake up, open presents, and do our studies then we going over to the, I kid you not their name, the Villains house. Dont worry mom I promise theyre good people, and arent actually villains haha. There we will eat and (drum roll please...) call you guys over skype! Im super pumped to see you all. That will be really something. I have my suspicions though if you are all real or just figments of my imaginations so on verra bien tomorrow! Then tomorrow night we'll be heading over to another awesome familes house for dinner. It is going to be a great day, but it will be sad not getting to spend it all with you.
Well this week was insane. Tuesday we went on exchange with the Zone Leaders in Bordeaux and it was pretty sweet. I absolutely love that town. Wednesday we did service with one of the frères in our ward then went out to Perigeuex for a baptismal interview. I forgot to mention one of my responsibilites as district leader is to conduct baptismal interviews. so I got the oppurtunity to interview this young guy who was the same age as I when I got baptized. It was one of those humbling experiences I guess you could say. Its cool seeing a situation like that from both ends of the spectrum. Anyways the next day we dug trenches in the rain all day, I felt like a soldier in the second world war lost out with his squad in France haha. We are helping one of the brothers in our ward build his new house. that was fun. Then we headed back out to bordeaux. We were on this massive train and decided we were going to contact every single person on it. So we went down the aisles and talked to every single person on the train! haha it was pretty classic. I love doing stuff like that. the next day we left at 4 am to head out to toulouse where we had a wonderful zone conference. Poor Elder Visser got stranded in the metro there all alone and after an hour of searching we found the poor guy! that night we all went out in this square and sang Christmas songs and contacted people it was really fun. I got to see Elder Smith and Elder Hilburn, who live in the same appartment in Toulouse and stay the night with them! Waht a riot that was.
Anyways I am super stoked to see you guys tomorrow. Think up all the questions you want to know or could think about and ill answer them all. Im so grateful for this Christmas season and the celebration of the birth of the savior. We're truly very blessed. I love you guys and à demain!!
Hoping all is well in Zion,
Forever Love,
Elder Gruber
