[Week 33] Christmas Bells
Hello family and friends!
First off sorry for not responding really to your questions last week. So I'll start with that. As district leader I do exchanges with every Elder in the district and do a 2 hour district meeting every other week. Then on sunday nights I call and talk to all of them and then forward their numbers on to the zone leaders.Thats about it but Im loving it because it allows me to be in contact with other missionaries all the time. and thats sweet cause every missionary is awesome. As far as the weather... well it pretty much rainned every day this week! it was crazy! some days its been really mild and very but other times its suuuuper cold and today it hailed really hard for awhile. well 8 more days until we can see each other!... kind of. haha not really but its going to be really cool though!
This week I did my first district meeting.. which was great. My district is full of really awesome Elders so they bring a really strong spirit and there you go! afterwards I headed to Bergerac where I ended up getting to see Lucien and Jean-charles. I love those guys! They are incredible and its always fun to be able to see old friends like that. This week in our secteur wasnt as great... we had lots of adversity. We really struggled to find people to teach. We probably logged 40 plus hours of just porte à porte alone! I think its just cause this week with zone conference and getting to call home will be so legendary, there had to be some hardship before it. On saturday we had our branch christmas party... Elder Visser and I ended up getting ropped into a performance with 2 others singing some christmas hymn. We make sure to sing sofly. It made me appreciate our ward christmas parties so much more haha. Friday we have zone conference in Toulouse! I think I should be getting the package you guys sent me there. At any rate that day will be a blast.
Well I love you all. thanks for all the prayers and support. I can really feel at times your prayers, its incredible. So please keep it up haha! I need every last one of them. I wish I could be there to help you all celebrate and drink some egg nog, but looks like youre going to have to drink my rassion pops!
Again, I love you all so much! continue forward.
Forever Love
Elder Gruber
